Dirt Day 6-16-10
Dip me in dirt and hello!!! I didn't finish the plaster today, but I came very close, maybe next week. But for sure, next week, I am going to finish the row of bags on the west side of the dome, at the very least, along with trying to finish the plaster. I will be using a special lime/paper putty with finely screened clay dirt, rice hulls, and sandy dirt to finish what I worked on this week on the outside I think, maybe I will put on some rough first then put on the finer finish, not sure yet, too tired to think. A very excellent idea came to me this am when I was thinking about how much plaster it would take to fill in some of the big holes. Why not soak some newspaper in lime water and fill in the cracks with that? So I did, and I also used some of it to cover the dirt where the bags had completely disintegrated. Don't know if it was a good idea or not, that remains to be seen, but it sure helped the load of plaster go farther. Well, today is the last work day out there this week, until probably Tuesday, y'all have a wonderful weekend, and I hope God blesses you all. Ozarkmoma
