Dirt Day 04/14/2010
Dip me in dirt! Hope anyone reading this is doing well and life is good for you. As for me all is right as rain!A quick note about the picture to the right. I was tired of putting the plaster into buckets and carrying it to the inside of the dome, so I put the gray tub into my dumping wheel barrow, brought it to the outside of the side doorway, pulled it out of the wheel barrow onto a board I had laying through the door, slid it on the board through the doorway, which by the way wasn't very easy since it weighed a lot more than me I am sure, then as I pulled it through the doorway the board see-sawed, and I slid it to the wheel barrow inside of the dome and dumped it into the wheel barrow. Good idea, but a little bit tricky. So, after my big day of plaster last week, I was down for a while, as I said before, when you are using lime in your plaster you have to be very careful, I managed to burn some holes in my right arm last week, as a result, I was sick for a few days , but now all is well, and I managed to put one batch of plaster on, and then I stopped, but if the Almighty is willing, I will manage to put a coat of plaster on the next section today, and then tomorrow I will finish the inside of the dome, and then next week do the inside of the pods, then all that will be left will be some of the outside. After that, I can go back to filling bags and try to get this bad boy in the dry. I was telling a friend at work the other day I should have started with a small dome, then added on to that, but DUH! Hind site is always 20/20 for me, and I will finish this house, and if the Almighty is willing it will be in the dry before another winter arrives! Ok, time to go to work, may the Almighty bless you today! Ozarkmoma
