OK, as you can see I have been trying to put the floor joists in for the loft. As I said before, I am not a carpenter, that is why I like to build with dirt. Besides, my skill saw shorted out, and I was trying to cut dimensional lumber with a chain saw, it works, but you get wavy cuts?
Again, I need to remind you all, I have got a bad memory. I forgot to put the round windows in when I was supposed to, so, now they will be half circles.( You may need to look at an older post, to see the metal tubes I was using as the form for these windows, post dated 5-31-12) At first I was upset with my intelligence level, but I have decided that the windows are going to look really awesome this way when the house is finished. I haven't done a lot, I did place the next row of tires, and I put barb wire out on the sun room wall so I can lay bags there next week. But, life keeps slowing me down, not to mention the temperatures being over 100 all week. I spent many hours this week watering some of my stuff, and building irrigation systems too. In fact I spent more time doing that than working on the house. Maybe next week I will get more done.
On to a completely different subject now. Back in the winter I decided to try to germinate avocado seeds. This is the second one I tried, the first by the way is a small tree now. But, this one had started splitting open at the top, so I was just going to help it open a little bit, but instead it broke in two.
Not to worry though. As you can see, I am going to have two trees out of one seed. Does that mean, one will be female and one male? Until next week. God bless. Ozarkmoma
