Happy dirt day to all!! I have had one of those weeks where I was  not able to really work on the house. I am not at all sad about it. I am thankful for every distraction that came up this week, and that is all I have to say about it. I had a few hours  to work on the house today, I was able to fill the buckets with dirt, and I laid about 7 bags. It took me a while to get oriented as to what I wanted to do. Also it was late when I got outside which is a major mistake when the temps are over 100 by 11am.
As I said last week, I am working on the sun room and the buttresses before I go back to the dome. In fact I am not allowing myself to do any other work on the dome until all of the buttresses are caught up. The sun room and the laundry room pod also needs to be caught up and while we are at it, the pantry will need another row too, as the dome is now a row ahead of it. A while back I had decided to wait on the sun room because I was afraid the buttresses would be in the way, I have decided that even if they are, I will just have to work around them, I can see that it was a mistake to wait and should have stuck with my original plan to raise those walls along with the dome.
Around 2 pm it was probably close to 104 in the shade, I decided I needed to unload the awesome pantry that my daughter's boyfriend's mother let me have. She is having his house remodeled and they tore the pantry out and donated it to me. It will be most welcome in the dome!
These clouds are one reason why I stopped working on the sun room and unloaded the pantry. And YES! Thank God! It did rain, not a lot, but any is much appreciated. It also dropped the temps down 20 degrees believe it or not in less than an hour. Yes, those are dead trees, the extra ordinary heat wave and drought have killed many trees, not to mention lots of other plants. But, there is always a positive with the negative, at least I can use the dead trees for firewood. I should have enough to last quite a while if I hurry up and get moved into the dome. Next week I think I will have some of the kids here. They are going to bring me dirt while I am working on the house! They volunteered!!! I will bring them inside though before it gets over 100, I promise! Until next week. God bless. Ozarkmoma
