Well, it has been interesting this week. First, I got to work Monday at my real job, which financially this was a blessing. Physically, well, needless to say, I am not getting any younger, and the heat and the concrete floors can truly hurt an old lady. Other than that, there would be only one other thing to say about that day. Jesus said in the later days that people would hate us for His names' sake. So it is. Please dear Father in heaven give me the wisdom of Solomon, the righteousness of David, the strength of Goliath, and the courage of Ester... and the ability to continue to love my neighbor and forgive them for their hatred.
We have been suffering a severe drought here, as well as many other parts of our nation has. Monday night it rained. Not just a little bit either. It rained hard and I had a serious flash flood in my back yard. One that may have taken a calf down the gully. The reason I say this is because a cow started calling for her calf that night. I can see how the flash flood in the state park killed all of those poor people. It happens very quickly. I guess that is why they call it a flash flood. DUH
So, Tuesday I didn't do a lot on the house, I tried, but I was a little bit tired. Yesterday I made up for it. I laid in the vicinity of 40 bags. That doesn't sound like much, but when you start digging dirt and moving it, and filling bags, well, it is probably one of those things that you really would not understand unless you do it. I ran out of time and energy... today I have a commitment to go help someone learn how to can. I am looking forward to it, as well as seeing my beautiful grandchildren. I will be back on the house though bright and early either Monday morning or Tuesday. Until next week. God bless you all. Ozarkmoma
